We have recently faced some challenges with our award winning solar products. Some of you may be more aware of this than others, as the issues seem to be more keenly noticed by certain skin types, while others do not notice anything. This is not surprising, as this is usually the case with skin care. As we like to say – your skin is like your finger print – unique to only you. So, if you feel you have noticed a major change in our solar formulas, you may have gotten a batch which may have had some emulsification issues. Please take heart and know that we have acted as swiftly as possible to improve the situation. Since not everyone was affected, we are handling this on a case by case situation, returning any unsatisfactory batch codes as needed. If you feel you have gotten a solar product that is not up to our usual DeVita high standards, please contact us immediately (1-877-233-8482 x 105).
However, please know that we have had to refine and
adjust our homogenization process, so the formulation will necessarily be
slightly different from now on, as our supplier was required to make an
adjustment to their micronized zinc oxide ingredient, due to new FDA
regulations. Please be assured our products protection qualities have not
changed, nor has the base formulation. Our products still provide the
same tested SPF 30+, broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection, and are still
vegan and paraben free. You may notice that it is a little less
transparent at first, and may take a few more rubs to get it blended in, but it
finishes nicely, without any greasy residue or sticky film that so many other
physical sunscreens can have. Our volunteer test panels have given it a
thumbs up and, we believe under the circumstances, we are back and better than
ever!
